Dynamic webpage

A dynamic webpage is a simple text file which sits on a web hosts server. When you connect to that page with a Web browser, the text file is actually a script, an app, which runs on the server, this query a database to obtain the page contents, then generates a new webpage 'on the fly' and it this freshly generated code that is downloaded displayed in your browser.

If I want to update that page, I need to first work on my database adding & cross-checking the data, removing dupes, spell checking, filling missing details and recording the origins of the data and more.... After this has happened, the next person visits that page gets the new content without any further work on my part, thus saving much time over the old fashioned static pages that formed the old site.
